We’ve been live with the new web site for a week now, and we’ve been filling in the missing pieces as they’re reported. I want to thank you all for your patience as we get up to speed on this, and I also want to thank Beth for her great work on this project. If you find things are missing or incorrect, please let us know. The best way to do that is to send mail to [email protected] (we’re going to retire [email protected] since it’s such a spam trap these days). You can also see Beth in 221-B248. Right now, she’s the person who’ll be getting any of your content onto the website.Over the next month, it is our goal to migrate the old websites from www-unix and www-fp onto the new server. We’ll be contacting site/page owners over the next week or so to get you set up with a plan. Ultimately, anything we migrate to the new server will have a redirection put in place so the old URL (be it www-fp or www-unix) will work and point to the right page. (After we’re done, all URLs will use www.mcs.anl.gov — no more -fp or -unix. Yay!)It’s our goal to turn off the machines hosting www-fp and www-unix at the end of April. Thanks!
