PSA: Check your Junk folder for inadvertently filtered mail

March 29, 2022 by Stacey, Craig

We’ve seen increased reports of messages improperly being labeled as Junk and ending up in people’s Junk folder in Outlook. I’ve raised the issue with BIS who are asking Microsoft about the issue.
In the interim, if you see something in your Junk folder that shouldn’t be there, if you label it as “not junk” it will mark the sender as safe and will be no longer filtered in the future.
To act on a group of messages at a time, you can select multiple by clicking the first message, then holding shift and selecting the last message, which will select all messages in between. Or you can select multiple individual messages by holding Cmd (macOS)/Ctrl (Win/Linux) and clicking them.
