Upgrading to macOS 15 (Sequoia)
For our Mac users, macOS Sequoia 15.0 was released today. At the moment, we do not recommend an upgrade to this OS. It breaks a some required software and could result in your computer no longer being recognized as registered Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) which would result in you losing access to M365 apps.
We’ve been advised by Cyber to wait until the appropriate updates are released for our EDR tools such as CrowdStrike. I’m hopeful it won’t take too long. We’re going to put in some settings in jamf/Self Service to prevent accidental upgrades since you can’t downgrade without a wipe and restore. If you have a need to upgrade to Sequoia, reach out to us at [email protected] and we can look at options/exceptions.
When we advise upgrading, we’ll make an announcement here.
