WebVPN to be retired May 28
BIS is retiring the WebVPN service on May 28. This only affects the WebVPN service and not VPN clients such as AnyConnect, Cisco, or the built-in clients for Mac users. See announcement from BIS below:
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
We are decommissioning the “WebVPN” service (https://vpn.anl.gov/), including the APS-specific WebVPN portal.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
This service contains a number of technical and security limitations. Additionally, it overlaps with the capabilities provided by the Argonne DASH service (https://dash.anl.gov/).
WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
The morning of Monday, May 28th, 2018
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Regular users of this service have been contacted by their local IT Administrators and/or ITAB members. If you are still a regular user of this service, please use the Argonne DASH service instead. If the DASH service does not provide capabilities you require, please contact the Service Desk with more information. If you regularly use the Cisco AnyConnect or other full VPN client software, this change will not affect you.
WHAT IS THE EFFECT ON YOU?
If you do not use the WebVPN service, nothing. Otherwise, please use the Argonne DASH service.

Contact the Service Desk at 2-9999 option 2.
