OWL Plugin for Thunderbird EOL
Please see the below announcement from BIS.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
BIS is asking anyone who uses Thunderbird as their default mail client to setup their account with native OAuth2 instead of OWL.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
The official end date for the OWL plugin is 03/06/21. The newest versions of Thunderbird now natively support OAuth2 without the OWL plugin.
WHEN ARE WE DOING IT?
We are asking that you update as soon as possible before the OWL plugin end date.
WHAT IS THE EFFECT ON YOU? Thunderbird with the owl plugin will no longer be able to verify your account due to MFA requirements. Please configure your Argonne email via the knowledge article below to avoid any issues.
