Upcoming Change to macOS Update Notifications

Hey there!

I just wanted to give you a quick heads-up that starting Monday, January 6, 2025, the remainder (co-managed) of macOS computers supported by CELS will begin to notify you about available software updates in a new and friendly way. To help you get used to this change, we’ve put together a handy macOS Update Notification Window Guide for you to check out.

When your computer detects an update, you’ll see a notification window with a few options that make it easy to manage: 1) restart your computer right now to apply the updates, 2) schedule a restart for later, or 3) defer the notification and get reminded later.
