Weekly CELS Systems Town Halls

Hi, everyone!  As we roll out more services in GCE and start the process of retiring end-of-life servers and services, I wanted to make sure the lines of communication were wide open so you can understand what it means for you, and we can understand what your concerns are.

First up, I’m generally pretty available on Slack, but there’s something about in-person (or, as close to that as we can get) that makes it easier to communicate, so I wanted to set up some opportunities for everyone to learn a little more about what’s changing and to be able to ask questions and get answers in that manner. I’d offer an opportunity to throw rotten fruit, but the effect is lost through a BlueJeans session.

Through late March, I’ve scheduled a series of one hour town hall meetings.  I’ll record them for those who can’t make it, and I’ve also staggered the timing of these to accommodate as many differing schedules as I can.  Each one will focus on a topic at the start, with a light presentation on it followed by Q&A on that topic (or other topics if we run out of questions on that one).  I’ll try to highlight a new feature or service every week, but anything related to GCE or CELS computing in general is welcome regardless of the topic du jour.

I’ll schedule more of these if the interest is there as well.  The links in the schedule below go to a Box download so you can add the invitation to your calendar, complete with the BlueJeans joining information.  (I don’t want to post the BlueJeans links here directly, since this blog is publicly accessible.)
